Combining contrasting materials and reconstructing them into contemporary garments is one of KHOKI’ s signature approaches.
This is not simply about patching different fabrics together, but about merging the distinct atmospheres each material carries in order to create an entirely new way of dressing.
At the same time, the precise pattern-making plays a crucial role in translating this uniqueness into a garment that feels natural and comfortable to wear. For this piece, we combined a vintage “Orca-pattern” Cowichan sweater, with rugged cotton duck fabric.
The Cowichan sweater, with its uniquely charming and playful silhouette is intentionally paired with a masculine material and constructed with raglan sleeves. Through this contrast, the piece proposes both a contemporary sense of hybridity and an effortless wearability.

今回は、"シャチ柄"のカウチンセーターを、無骨なコットンダック生地と組み合わせました。カウチンセーター特有の、どこか愛嬌のあるユニークなフォルムを、あえてマスキュリンな素材と掛け合わせ、さらにラグランスリーブで仕立てることで、現代衣服としての折衷性と着やすさを提案しています。
